Lens: Nikon 70-300mm VR f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR just goes wild after 180mm and up ,and makes terrible grinding noise . .Lens is under 2 years warranty. Edit 31 /12/2011 These parts were replaced by Nikon :VCM relay FPC and PSD relay FPC .AF at 300mm seems slower than what it was earlier .SO ,I have decided to drop the lens again at service center after mid Jan.
